Melissa Wilson, Esq. started out as a paralegal, graduating from the University of Miami Paralegal Certificate Program in 2007. Her first legal position was at Broward County Clerk of Courts as a Docket Clerk. She transitioned into the foreclosure industry working for large foreclosure law firms that represented the banks from 2008 until 2014.
In 2012, Melissa embarked on a new journey by opening up her legal document preparation company. She worked with pro se litigants assisting them to complete state and federal based forms. She assisted pro se clients with filling out divorces, immigration documents, and seal and expunge documents.
In 2014, Melissa decided to finish her bachelor’s degree and pursue her dream of becoming an attorney. In 2014, she started the Legal Studies bachelor’s degree program at Nova Southeastern University. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University in December 2015. In January 2016, she started Florida Coastal School of Law.
After her first year of law school, Melissa and her husband had a beautiful little girl. That did not stop Melissa from completing her Juris Doctor Degree. Melissa continued her legal education part time and graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2021. She is the epitome of what true perseverance allows one to achieve.
